My pal Jammy Jam Sam is stayin with me for a few days .... and its nothin but a good time

Yesterday we went shopping around the town and spotted this AMAING bed at Hollywood at Home

I nearly died.....and then some lucky woman came in and bought the whole damn thing right off the floor...

I have a DIY for y'all! 

I rarely get a damn second to do a damn thing around my house...but I decided to take 5 and make some cuteness for G

Here is what I did

Step 1:

take a crappy store bought table kit

STEP 2:

Flip your table

Take the fabric you wanna use and cut out a circle of it for the top. 

*Make sure you make the circle 4-5 inches larger than the table top.

staple that shiz..

STEP 3:

Take your fabric and make a nice clean fold at the top so it meets up cleanly with the newly stapled on top. 

GLUE GUN it girl.

STEP 4:

I made a little pleat in it to add some volume and detail. 

This was simple, I just folded about a half inch over then glue gunned the shiz outta it!

rinse, repeat

*do this all the way around your little table and BAM....a cute little table..

Phone Tales

What a week

It was actually really fun filled and cray cray, however my phone tales are kinda sad

anyways, this is my week in a nut shell according to my iPhone

The Cabinetry I designed was installed in client PMP (pretty much perfects) Dining Room and is currently getting the finish of a lifetime 

G dressed up as Tinkerbell, and she nailed the part!

My fingers are crossed Client LFP goes for this wallpaper in their powder room...maybe you could help me convince them..

then we decided that this is the drapery combo in LFP dining room....I die!

and here is the big picture

I bought these shoes, and the jury is still out on them. Floral Rose Gold studs....hmmm?

I also bought THESE SHOES and the verdict is that they are AWESOME!

and

 I will never remove them from my feet

Shiz I learned from Pinterest

I am not the first or last blogger to get real and say Pinterest is kinda killin the blog

In my recent struggle to post original and unique content I have decided why fight it....Embrace it!!!!

Let me help you summarize some of the shit Pinterest has taught me this week

You can make some cheap frames with washi tape

You can make a book using your Instagram pictures

How to break in yo shoes so you don't get blisters

even pig butts have a place in decor

White denim is my jam....I plan on rocking it ALL winter long despite the labor day rule

not dead...but G's tooth might be

One of the BIGGEST fears I have is mouth injuries. I have no idea why, I have just always had this weird issue with bloody mouths, or a hurt tooth...even cavities or the thought of a popcorn kernel stuck in my gums tends to throw me into a panicked emotional downward spiral..

When a bad guy gets punched in the mouth in the movies...I vom a little 

It's intense and weird and I most likely need anxiety medication and or shock therapy

Jump to this past weekend when all my fears came to an intense and crushing reality as my precious little G suffered from quite the mouth injury...

We had one of G's friends over from school to have a play date / parents have an excuse to drink a little to much wine while the kids entertain themselves type of night, when as soon as the wine bottles were about to crack open I see and hear the thud of two little heads colliding down the hall.

G had a head to mouth collision with her buddy and straight busted her lip and knocked both her front teeth loose

HOLY SHIT I wanted to stroke out 

the cry that came out of her mouth was that of sheer pain and agony and my heart instantly stopped as I feared all types of worst case scenarios

it was bloody and sad and just all around crazy scary for me....but I had to keep it together and not flip out for her sake and for the sake of her little friend. I didn't want to further upset the kids with my ridiculous reaction...ya know?

So I acted cool and watched as through the night her mouth swelled to "real housewives" trout pout proportions

The next morning after a long night of exaggerated grumpy three year old antics, she finally let me take a look at her mouth and teeth..

She was black and blue, and swollen and had knocked one whole tooth backward and both front teeth were loose

ummmm....i died

I called the dentist and she assured me all would be OK..

that most likely the teeth will set in there new position and will tighten back up, and maybe they will change color a bit and go gray

GO GRAY!!!!!???

I mean.....what the hell?

One day G will punch my teeth for posting these pictures of her but I don't care....these may as well be my own teeth because I am pretty sure this hurts me more than it hurt her

bringing the drama out in this Mama..

anyways, the point of this post is strictly for sympathy...haha

and an excuse for me ducking out on blogging, while I tend to my spawn

did I mention she is sick with a nasty cough and cold..??

Fence Building

I feel like every time the duck is home, we undertake these gigantic house projects.

And every time I tell him what we are going to do I feel like he wants to murder me more and more every time.

This particular trip home of his, I have decided he should build the 60 foot fence on the side of our house and landscape as well..

(consider me murdered)

We share our property line with a SUPER CREEPY old dude and his SUPER CREEPY OLD mother

I mean Creepy...(he hit my gardener with a hammer because he blew a leaf on his rented property, yikes)

Well that was an awkward pause...

I am so busy with design work and mommying and celebrating birthdays anniversaries and holiday season I forgot about you all for a bit,

Here is whats been happening in my life through the eyes of my phone

 we took G to the Santa Barbara Zoo

I have been shopping around town...my fave store is Nickey Kehoe

Then I went Rug hopping...

I fell in love with this wallpaper debuting soon from Celerie Kemble

then I picked some hardware for a dining room cabinet

and last but not least...x-mas is coming up soon and my pal Mrs. Meares sent me a box of goodies for an upcoming photoshoot
