Well, last night when I was trying to get my shit together enough to post something for you lovers today, I thought to myself 

"I don't know enough about you lovers!!!"

and 

I want to know about you guys and what kinda peeps you are. 

I wanna know about you ALL

How about I start a little series called

"What kinda (BLANK) are you?"

It will be a fun excersise, so I suggest y'all participate.

Office Reveal!

Completed....kinda.

So If you follow along here on this little bloggy, you are privy to a lot of my work happenings.

You know that last week I got a phone call that I needed to magically make a miracle and vamp up a big ole beige cooperate office into something snazzy, cool, and rap mogul worthy.

And that I somehow needed to magically make this miracle happen in one week

Well here we are, one week later and somehow, by the grace of caffeine and AMAZINGLY TALENTED FABULOUS WORKER BEES (who put in 16 hour days right along side me......btdubbs)

We were able to pull it off

Lets take a look at the

Ahhh much better!

Painted all the beige a nice cool gray and painted the doors black

 

used a green, wood, white, black, and grey color scheme throughout...

Got down with some MASSIVE graphics....

P.S. this office just needed some huge letters and giant triangles in its life...no?

The succulents really added some vavavoom and color to the wood wall.

I DIE!

It is my fave part of the whole design.

I have been wanting to do one of these somewhere for a while. 

I finally got my chance.

I obviously pulled this one outta thin air...

Some of you may know, most of you prob don't but 

MY BROTHER is a contractor extraordinaire and the one who whipped this wall together for me....

he is one talented son of a gun who builds some pretty spectacular shite.....

isn't he special??

Unfortunately the one other big vavoom of the space got all screwed up, and in the 11th hour did not happen. 

We will be doing a phase two soon of the office which will have this massive wall mural image in the Companies Presidents office that I can't wait to show you once that happens.

My camera battery is dead so you are just seeing the iPhone images we took. 

I will upload more images and update hopefully soon.

in the meanwhile...

I have yet to spend any quality time with my family in a week and no valentines day with the Duck so

today I am taking the day off (sorta) and spending it with my babes.

I miss you lovers! 

I have been up to my ears in makeover magic but I promise the end is in sight.

I can't wait to share the "after's" with you guys.

It actually has come out looking pretty cool.

If you have a weak gag reflex...

If you think "feelings" are annoying....

If you just generally think of me as a cotton headed ninny muggins

then these next couple sentences are not for you

I am gonna shed a single tear, and I am not ashamed..

here goes........

I LOVE my job.

I wake up everyday being excited that I get to be creative for a living. 

I truly believe the old saying "if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life"

It's a motto I live by..

I knew that when I made the fateful decision to go out on my own in this big bad world of design that I most likely would have ups and downs.

That I would struggle to make my place in this crazy soup of talent and that I may never stand out as a good designer.

 I told myself that as long as I still had the drive and the passion to keep going I would never stop and never look back and try my damnedest to just remember that I was doing what I loved.

I promised myself that I would keep going and giving it 110% until I no longer had it in me.

I would try and stay positive and I would just keep putting out good vibes into the universe.

I would be lying if I said I never dreamt about getting some notoriety for my work.

Of course I have always wanted to impress enough people to keep my self busy and getting referrals. The occasional pat on the back from a family member or two would be all the recognition I would need to plug on. 

I even dreamt of having a few followers on my blog that would give me a comment here and there to keep my little dream alive.

Well, Cut to present time..
 I never dreamt I could be in such awesome company and recognized by the leaders in the industry of all things decor!!!

That shit is just crazy and I must pinch myself!

Not only do I have all of you lovers that follow my blog and care what I have to say.

Not only do I get new readers everyday which still flatters me to no end and read comments that make me love you all even more...

Not only do I have clients that I cherish and more clients that are willing to wait so that I can help them design their homes.

BUT I ALSO

have made some amazing friendships with people who share this love of interior design with me.

and most importantly I still LOVE what I do.

I am in shock and humbled beyond words.

It just keeps getting better and better and my passion grows more with each day.

I truly want to Thank You Lovers from the bottom of my heart for visiting this here bloggy.

You have allowed me to document and share with you this great love of mine.

Client Awesome:

"Nope"

Me:

"Oh, OK...ummmmm, your pregnant and want me to do the nursery?"

Me:

"Oh OK cool, I can start next month when things wind down"

Client Awesome:

"Nope you have one week from today......it's 2,000 square feet and needs paint, decor, the whole shebang and it has to be awesome cause Flava Flave is coming here!!

Me:

"Silence"

I keep it blonde, maybe brighten it up. Let my layers grow out and cut off a good 5-6 inches...
