A little progress report!

I am busy working away on my awesome clients new home located in the lovely Pacific Palisades, here in Not So Sunny California. My clients are totally cool and are trusting me to just dive into the project and do my designer-ing thang with their pad. I couldn't be happier!

This project has been done in pieces so far. There has not been the opportunity to do one grand "Reveal" but it's working out marvelously nonetheless. The clients love seeing any progress that is made, but we are still far from being finished. Here is whats left on my TO DO list......

Day in the Life: Twitter Tour Bonanza!

So the Duck had a fantastic idea to do a tweet fest about a day in the life of Amber Interiors working away. Boucherouite Pronounced: Rul-Kewl-Sheeeet

Why do I torture myself with the thoughts of owning things I KNOW I can not own. Maybe because I assume that one day I will be Scrooge McDuck rich and will dive off diving boards into puddles of golden coins? Whenever I get the urge to lurk at my precious unattainable goods, I can just click on my "dream files" on my computer desktop and away to Paradise I go.


I had purposely  forgotten about these rugs I am about to show you for fear that I would sell an ovary to buy one, is that strange?. I mean, these rugs are timeless and will never go out of style...right? I am pretty sure these beauties were around when Jesus was still kickin' it. Moral of the story I must have this rug because Jesus loved this rug and so the Duck should let me have one so that we are doing what's right by the man upstairs.

One room 2 Looks with: Chic Coles

I LOVE this blog. Can I just say when I come across  Chic Coles, I read for what seemed like hours. It was non-stop eye candy! When I asked Chic Coles to participate in the "one room 2 looks" and Cassandra sent over her pretty pics, I was ecstatic! I really couldnt wait to show you what they had in store and let me tell you.......they are awesome! Enjoy.

Hey to everyone! I’m super excited to be here on Amber’s super fabulous blog.  When Amber asked me to take part in her “One Room, Two Ways” I couldn’t help but think of how often I’ve styled rooms at my job as a designer for Martha Angus Interior Design! But the truth is, I’ve never really “styled” my apartment. It was so much fun trying it two different ways, trying different combos.

So for look one this is the way our apartment looks for the most part. With the exception of our West Elm Sofa, all of the furniture pieces were either on Craigslist or bargain flea market finds. It’s one of my favorite things to do! I love finding great pieces at low prices.

For look two I tried to switch things up from the norm. By switching the lamp, pillows on the sofa and some of the artwork it created a much more monochromatic feel with all of the blue elements; blue is my favorite color and I never tire of it! It’s no secret that I LOVE color! I sometimes envy people with muted spaces, but I just can’t help myself when it comes to bright and graphic.  For this look I used my Robert Abbey Lamp, pillows from CB2 and Ikea, as well as a graphic painting that I created.

Thanks Amber for including me in this amazing feature, it was such a blast to do and get to know the uber talent that you are! Here’s to a fun blogging friendship!

I am going to shock myself and the Duck and not blog for a whole Damn day. Sunday I am going to officially go dark for the day and spend some well needed quiet time with my family. If you have a problem with this and feel like you are being cheated out of life, well than take it up with my human resources department.....I am cranky and tired and miss G. 


I will leave you with Diane Keaton's Amazeballs Santa Barbara home featured in AD back in 2008: I remember when I got this issue and It may have been the only time I ever really LIKED anything in Architectural Digest. I mean this house is one cool pad.
