1 room 2 ways: La Maison Boheme!

Have you lovers seen Sarah's blog La Maison Boheme? Well, I certainly have and I am hooked. She has a ton of juicy images everyday...plus she is really nice and I am just glowing to have her show us her 1 room 2 ways!
It's a Stunner!!!!!!

Introducing the lovely and talented Sarah: La Maison Boheme

Photobucket

Hello, I'm Sarah from La Maison Boheme and I'm so excited to participate in Amber's 1 Room, 2 Looks series!  I am always switching things up in my home to suit my mood or to mirror the changing needs of my family.  Using accessories to alter the look of a room is the easiest and most inexpensive way to go.  (Two words I love - easy and inexpensive.)  This first look was created with black, white, silver and glass accessories.  The black and white throw pillows are from Ikea and the black and white vase is from Ross.  As you can tell, I shop at really high end places.

The second look showcases big pops of color with ethnic prints and textures.  The Moroccan lamp was on sale at Pier One Imports and the lamp was on sale at Urban Outfitters.  I made the throw pillows out of napkins and an old shirt.  The rug is re purposed Indian saris - a gift from my mom.

WOWZA! are you guys impressed or what? She has an incredible vision. Thanks so much Sarah for playin!
Go check out La Maison Boheme.

One Room 2 Looks with 6th Street Design School

Hi Lovers!
I am totally excited for this next guest post of "1 room 2 ways". I am so excited, that I decided to post it today instead of  Friday! I couldn't contain myself or these beautiful images. The super talented and uber cute Kirsten from 6th Street Design School has one of those blogs that is my DAILY READ {as well of thousands of other devotees}. I read it no matter what and I don't think I am alone. Her style is bright and colorful and she always has some gorgeous images to gander at.  If you have been living under a rock and don't know her famous blog then go take a look. You'll probably get lost for at least 3 hours!

Here is what Kirsten had to say about her Master Bedroom:

"I actually switch off back and forth between these two arrangements all the time. In one picture you will see just pale pink pillows paired with my navy shams and navy duvet. This arrangement is very subtle and soft. The pink in the pillows almost has a peach hue to it. In the next image you see more colorful pillows on the bed and I actually moved my pink pillows down to my settee at the end of the bed. I like this look because it's much more vibrant. It's what I have out now because it is getting me in the mood for spring. I love playing with my bed pillows during the year to pull out a different mood. Pillows are the easiest way to change a room!"

What a beautiful change up of her room!

P.S. I think the first look is my favorite. Don't forget to check out 6th Street and send Kirsten a big cyber hug from me. Thanks for playin Kirsten!

1 room 2 ways: Danielle Oakey Interiors!

I love a blogging Momma! Especially a Momma who has an awesome interior decorating biz with a super sense of style. If you haven't popped over to Danielle Oakey Interiors you better go head on over. There is tons of eye candy and her DIY projects are pretty great!
Without further adieu I welcome Danielle Oakey Interiors.....

I am actually in the process of re-designing my bedroom right now so this blog post could not have come at a better time. I am in the midst of doing an Ikea RAST hack for the nightstands. The white side tables you see in the first look are being sold. I love them but I am ready for a change.

First look:

I made the headboard ($76.00), yellow and blue pillows ($8.00 for both) and refinished the nightstand that I purchased from a thrift store. The round mirror is from a thrift store ($5.00), the lamp is from Home Goods ($29.99), The picture is from a thrift store ($3.00), and the mini aqua vase is from a thrift store ($2.00). The star burst mirror is from TJ Maxx on clearance for $12.00.

Second Look:

I made the headboard ($76.00), yellow pillows ($5.00) and the blue pillow is from ETSY ($20.00) The round mirror is from a thrift store ($5.00), the lamp is from Home Goods ($19.99) and I added the trim. The bird is from a thrift store ($.75) The star burst mirror is from TJ Maxx on clearance for $12.00.

I am in the process of finishing the nightstand. The pulls are in the mail so I just added these ones for the picture.

I haven't decided what my final look will be yet!
I am always changing everything.

Thanks Danielle, Can't wait to hear what every ones thoughts on there favorites are!

Room Two ways!

So, I am posting a bit earlier than expected for "One Room 2 Ways" but I  couldn't resist and am beyond excited to have two fantastic bloggers that have participated in the series. I decided to do two of these in one week!  My first post is from the lovely Brandi from Flights of Whimsy! If you guys haven't seen her blog yet you must go take a gander cause she has some fab images and great ideas. PLUS she is awesome and rully rully nice.
I asked her to style something in two ways and she sent me these images of her vintage vanity that she scored from a flea market for 100 bucks.

Make sure you visit Brandi and tell her I said Hi!

The first version she called her "vintage look"

This was the "Glam and Colorful" look
