Katie here, pleasure to meet you all!
So for weeks now I have been admiring all the pillows at The Shoppe! Literally watering at the mouth every time I look at them, neatly folded behind the glass doors of my office bookshelves. I have been holding myself back…. attempting to not even try one on for size, because I knew I would love them all. But then the other night, it happened – I could no longer hold back my urge to make my pillow dreams a reality. I was on pillow crack - smiling from ear to ear as I created pillow combo's that totally changed the vibe of my space.
And you know what they say...
"Better pillows make a better wife" - that's the pitch to my husband :)
Will work for pillows!?!
So here is what I came up with...
My dining nook:

beautiful! I like it very much!

Yay! These pillows make me happy. I love your styling. Fabulous. xo
ReplyDeleteThe pillows are stunning but I think your dining area would still be beautiful with dirty dish rags thown on the banquette. It is just gorgeous. Is the chandelier vintage? I am on the hunt for lighting for my mid century modern house. Keep the awesome posts coming!
ReplyDeleteI want to work for pillows all the time at my job! Can't help it I want to take everything home!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful styling! Love the pillows of course!! Looking forward to hearing more from you Katie :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious, Katie, your home (and pillow styling) is amazing! So happy that you shared. Now I'm wanting some pillows from the Shoppe even more. Thinking about a long lumbar...must save my pennies!
ReplyDeleteNice Katie!! This is Nikki from Kinara by the way. Hehe
ReplyDeleteDid you build your banquette yourself?? I would love a tutorial on your banquette! I am planning on building one for my dining area, and yours is one of the best i have come across.
ReplyDeleteLaurie - Wish I could give you a tutorial but I did not build it myself, but had it made for me. Thank you for the compliment :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pillows and LOVE your home...those dining chairs and your fabulous banquette are heaven!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for some pillow inspiration...this is awesome. I am one that needs to see it in a space before I buy. I also love the print on the 2 pillows flanking the lumbar on the couch. Could you tell me what it is?
ReplyDeleteYour home is gorgeous! And those pillows just put it over the top!
ReplyDeleteBarbie - Thanks so much! The fabric is called "Lanka Oyster" by John Robshaw!

ReplyDeleteyour house looks amazing. that is one of the best banquettes ever!
Ok, another question for you. What material is that on the banquette seats? have wood banquette build in at my house but seriously needs indestructible cushions (2 messy kids and husband). leather not affordable. Please say it is some great, inexpensive vinyl :)
need all the details, color too.
you are the best.
clearly doing a great job.

DeleteHi Kelley - so glad you like it! The vinyl I used is from Kravet in a color that I have NO idea what the name is anymore... and I tried to find it again for someone and couldn't - so it may be discontinued? Anywho, there's also a really awesome solution called "fabric lamination" - if you find a fabric you like you can have it turned into a vinyl. Google should pop up some results for ya :)
Deletesad we can't find original source. but will keep looking for a good pewter greyish vinyl. it must exist! thanks for the suggestion about lamination.

they look amazing... love the combination of patterns!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes, that looks awesome! They were meant for your home & mine ;) the one on the sofa is INCREDIBLE and the nook looks fantastic ! Also, I'm stealing your line !
ReplyDeleteGawsh, i LOVE the decor of your place!
ReplyDeleteKatie......love your description of pillow love!!! Couldn't have said it better myself :). Look great in your home also.
ReplyDeleteThey look great!..... a cheerful burst of color.
ReplyDeleteThey look so great. The perfect laid back touch! Congrats on your new pillows!
ReplyDeleteBetter pillows make a better wife - I'm going to have to remember that one ;) I love how different the pillows are from the ones you usually see. They seem to pick up on the embroidery thread jewelry craze that's happening right now!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I've been obsessing over that Anthropologie mirror to put over my fireplace (that I don't even have a mantel for yet!) anddd I have a very similar box that I bought at Home Goods that I keep my stationery in! I love your style!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I love this idea! And I like your Accent Pillows photos .
